CATCH (2022)

Joel, a father to a dead daughter who took her life after being groomed online, seeks peace through acts of vigilante justice.

CATCH (2022)

The story centres on Joel, the protagonist, who epitomises an omnipotent force of nature, embodying violence personified. Bound in an eternal state of mourning, Joel's ferocity is profoundly shaped by his profound grief.

As a character plucked from the pages of a comic book, he appears mysteriously and enigmatically, evoking the allure of a compelling anti-hero with a hauntingly tragic origin.

Enhancing the intrigue, Joel's partner in crime, Penny, contributes to the complex and intense narrative of CATCH, unfolding like a thrilling chapter in a gripping comic book film.

Before diving into the production of his second feature, "Nothing Goes," Jordan-Kane decided to test key plot points to assess their narrative viability. As a result, if you watch "Catch" and "Nothing Goes" consecutively, you'll discern narrative and visual similarities between the two films, especially with the application of hyper-printing techniques.

The film remains Studio Silent's largest crew-driven production to date. Except for the Makeup and Sound departments, the entire crew consisted of students studying alongside Jordan-Kane on his MA at Sheffield Hallam University.

CATCH Extra's

Original soundtrack by Harry Barron

This marked Harry's third collaboration with Jordan-Kane, resulting in their most potent visual-to-audio soundtrack among the three shorts they had previously worked on together. The soundtrack significantly enhances the scenes and metamorphoses the project into something visually, artistically compelling yet disturbing.

CATCH (2022) Official Trailer

To entice viewers to watch the film, the project's trailer needed to be visually captivating, given its exploration of a subject that is taboo.
